Meet Apoul

Apoul came from South Sudan with her family as a refugee 21 years ago. Her passion to work and serve New Americans is instilled from her own personal experience. Apoul believes resettlement starts upon arrival. Apoul worked as a medical/legal interpreter in the West Michigan area for 9 years, gaining experience working as a community leader. Apoul has also been advocating and empowering women in the Sudanese and South Sudanese community here in Grand Rapids. She speaks Dinka and Arabic, and is currently studying Social Work at Grand Rapids Community College. Apoul strongly believes in Treetops Collective's mission and vision, and is excited to be a part of the work!
