Ellie Hutchison

Originally from Minnesota, Ellie’s interest in community development and social entrepreneurship led her to Grand Rapids to study International Development and Business at Calvin College. Over the years, Ellie has paired this passion with her love for writing and communications to serve a variety of mission-driven organizations, including Treetops Collective. Building relationships with refugees in both Hungary and the U.S. opened Ellie's eyes to the reality of the global refugee crisis as we all as the incredible resilience of this unique group of people. With the conviction that we are all interconnected, Ellie is inspired by Treetops’ work to bridge divides, cultivate belonging, and build relationships of mutuality with our newest neighbors.
