Meet Tessa

As the Creative & Communications Manager at Treetops Collective, Tessa partners across teams to support visual storytelling, campaigns, and communications strategy. She brings nearly eight years of experience in social media, advertising, and communications and a deep commitment to elevating the voices and impact of the community she serves. She believes that communications, at its best, is a powerful tool for connection and belonging. 

As the daughter of Cuban migrants, Tessa's lived experience shapes the heart she brings to this work and the hopes she holds for it, and that understanding of story and identity runs through everything she creates. She is eager to help broaden awareness across West Michigan of the vital work Treetops is doing to Spread Welcome, believing that the more people who know this story, the more people who will want to be part of it. 

When she's not creating, you'll find Tessa out walking with her husband Killian and their two mini dachshunds, Sylvie and Sunny, hunting for a new plant at Horrocks, or discovering a new favorite spot in Grand Rapids with friends and family.
