Meet Shari

Shari is a bilingual Community Health Worker, clinic interpreter, facilitator, and trainer who is passionate about creating connections across language, culture, and community. At City on a Hill Health Clinic, a free medical and mental health clinic serving uninsured adults, she serves as both a Community Health Worker and clinic interpreter, helping individuals and families navigate healthcare systems, access resources, and receive care in Spanish. She also supports community outreach and development efforts that connect people to care and strengthen community partnerships.

Throughout her life and work, Shari has been passionate about serving as a bridge between communities, helping ensure that everyone has access to the care, opportunities, resources, and relationships they need to thrive. She has helped expand access and opportunities for Spanish-speaking communities through leadership development, program facilitation, translation, and collaboration with churches, nonprofits, and community leaders. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to grow.

As a Contract Facilitator Trainer with Treetops Collective, Shari co-leads Circles of Support facilitator trainings and is helping expand facilitator development opportunities in Spanish. She is deeply committed to Treetops' mission of empowering immigrant women and fostering communities where newcomers can build meaningful relationships, discover their strengths, and grow as leaders.

Outside of her professional work, Shari volunteers alongside her husband, Raul, as a pastor at CAFE Church and remains actively involved in the Crossroads Riders Christian Motorcycle Association, where she serves as treasurer and Raul serves as chapter chaplain. Together, they are proud parents of five adult children and grandparents to thirteen grandchildren, who bring joy, purpose, and plenty of activity to their lives.
