Meet Meral
Meral Moawad is the Engagement Support Coordinator at Treetops Collective, where she helps foster belonging and connection through community engagement, relationship-building, and welcoming experiences for refugee and immigrant community members. In her role, Meral supports refugee and immigrant makers as they participate in income-generating and workforce development opportunities, including markets, pop-ups, and community events. She also builds and manages relationships with community partners, vendors, and organizations to expand opportunities at the Shop and Café.
Meral holds a degree in Social Work and Psychology from Calvin University and is passionate about culturally responsive, strengths-based community work. Having grown up in several countries, she values diverse perspectives and finds joy in connecting with people from all walks of life.
Outside of work, Meral loves art, music, travel, and good food—and is always happy to spend an evening on the couch with a good show and a mug cake in hand.
