Meet Marie

Marie was born and raised in Haiti. She is married and the proud mother of three sons. In 2006, she traveled to the United States to give birth to her second child. Due to circumstances preventing her return to Haiti after the birth, she decided to settle in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In 2014, Marie and her family relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where her husband accepted the position of Senior Pastor at Grand Rapids International Church of the Nazarene. Marie enrolled at Grand Rapids Community College to broaden her knowledge and take preparatory classes for admission to the nursing program. With several years of experience working as a nurse aide in long-term care facilities, Marie is deeply committed to serving and supporting others, and she believes her dedication will positively impact the community.

Marie joined Treetop last year as a member and has stepped into a leadership role this year to represent her home country, Haiti. She finds fulfillment in helping others and providing comfort, especially to those who feel hopeless or lack other support systems. In her leisure time, Marie enjoys singing, as she finds it therapeutic, as well as listening to gospel music and spending quality time with her beloved family.
