Meet Louds
On a sunny Tuesday in the pasture of Haiti, Louds was born.
With a mix of joy and fear, her mom put Louds in her grandma's hands, who gave her that name, LOUDS, meaning strength. Growing up, she found a passion for her culture and music, the dance that brings everyone together, and the food that keeps us connected.
In 2018, Louds came to the USA fully packed with hope, dreams, gratitude, and fear about the future. However, with resilience and faith, she started to build herself up and connect with her community in West Michigan.
Throughout that process, she found the courage to change and look toward the unknown; she chose to become a nursing assistant, where she learned how caring for others can bring joy and happiness. Her connection with others and her passion for women is the reason she choose to become a doula. In that season of life, she met her friend Trish and through that connection, opened a world she never thought possible. Connecting with other women in that place, she felt a sense of belonging, which is when she decided to become a leader of hope for her community. Where she continues to gain confidence and leadership.
In her free time, Louds puts her passion for singing to volunteer at her community church. She likes to explore West Michigan, create memories with family and friends, look for resources, and also share them with women in need who come her way.
