Meet Kali

Kali is the Cross-Cultural Community intern at Treetops Collective, answering opportunities to develop spaces for community and connections across cultures. She attends Grand Valley State University in the Advanced-Standing MSW program and will graduate in May 2026. She is a Graduate Assistant under the Field Placement Office within the School of Social Work, contributing her match making skills to the cross-cultural partnership program and her ability to provide support to individuals and groups.

Kali was born and raised in southeast Michigan, coming from Monroe to Grand Rapids four years ago. She has traveled to Peru and Poland, with many more places to go! These experiences have expanded her viewpoint to various cultures, with an understanding of the complexities of structural barriers at play and the difficulty of navigating different systems.

When not at Treetops, she is either taking a walk with friends, watching a comedy, or doing a puzzle. She always has a sudoku book on hand!
