Meet Izabel

Izabel brings a rich multicultural perspective and a deep commitment to radical welcome to her role as the People & Learning Manager at Treetops Collective. Originally from Guatemala, her personal journey as an immigrant gives her understanding of the profound impact of a first impression and informs her approach to building inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace cultures. With a background in Business Administration and experience in the retail and hospitality sectors, Izabel specializes in navigating the complex dynamics of organizational change.

Before stepping into Human Resources, Izabel built a non-traditional career path in retail and hospitality, where she developed a keen understanding of the dynamics and challenges inherent in organizational change. Her work focuses on bridging gaps through organic connection, serving as a trusted guide for those navigating unfamiliar professional landscapes. By pairing her heart for people with data analytics, Izabel transforms complex information into actionable insights that improve internal processes. With a focus on optimizing these processes and maintaining the integrity of best practices, Izabel ensures that the internal foundations of an organization are both data informed and strong enough to support the diverse needs of today’s workforce.

Outside of her professional role, Izabel finds joy in the quiet rhythms of life in Sparta with her husband, their two children, and their lively flock of chickens and dogs. Whether she is tending to her garden, exploring the healing properties of herbal teas, or cultivating leadership through the Women with Knives organization, she brings a steady and patient presence to all she does. Izabel believes that when systems are built with care and steadiness, they create a lasting impact that transforms both the workplace and the community.
