Teen Concentric Program
In order to reach the treetops, a strong foundation and sturdy trunk are essential. Just like a tree continues to grow outward and upward with each passing year, our Teen Concentric Program multiplies New American leadership among young people. We recognize that New American youth are not only the future but are stepping up to lead their communities today.
Through Concentric, 4 New American young women leaders are recruited annually to serve as connectors within their community. Each Teen Concentric Leader builds a cohort of 7 - 10 teen girls during the initial weeks of training that she will then partner with over the school year. Through Concentric, New American teens work together while figuring out what it means to not just survive here but put down roots and truly thrive.

Member Care
Our city is filled with opportunities and resources—business owners, nonprofit leaders, creatives, therapists, city leaders and neighbors who want to welcome well.
Concentric Leaders meet with cohort members and serve as a connector to support them and their goals. Member care is all about an intentional relationship and being known, first and foremost.

Cross-Cultural Partners within our Concentric program walk alongside New American women and teen girls as friends and allies. Partners meet one-on-one with program members once a week for 9 months. Partners experience life together, meet in each other’s homes and other mutual places, meet family members, attend Treetops’ gatherings, share meals, practice English, go on excursions and simply enjoy being together, mutually learning from one another's unique experiences.
Workshops
Through community needs and assets assessments, Concentric Leaders tailor, plan and facilitate workshops based on the interests and needs of the teen girls in the program. In these workshops, guest speakers share their expertise on topics ranging from mental health to post-high school options to financial literacy and anything in between.
Teen Social Enterprise Internship
Members of the Concentric program also have access to our Teen Social Enterprise Internship, a cohort-style 10 week program in which interns develop and produce a product with a local artist/entrepreneur.
