Meet Arbai

Arbai is a mom. She was born in Tanzania and grew up in Kenya. in 2015 she came to the United State as a refugee. When she first arrived in Michigan, it was challenging for her as an immigrant. She did,t know how to speak English, which made it hard to make friends at school and in the community.

Now at treetops, she feels at home. She met wonderful people from different countries and different cultures, making her feel a sense of belonging.

This year, she became a Concentric leader at Treetops Collective. She wants to give back to new American teens and women by sharing what she has learned. Her massage is simple: Be yourself. Don't change who you are just be you.
