Meet Bernice

Bernice came to the United States as a refugee in 2019. Her family and her settled in Dayton, Ohio. As Bernice studied nursing in Africa, her dream was to continue her path of helping people. She lived in Ohio for 2 years, worked as a caregiver and got her CNA after. Bernice got married and moved to Grand Rapids in 2021.

Bernice is dedicated to spreading love and support for those in need. She is now majoring in Social Work at a Community College and working as a concentric leader for the Kinyarwanda community at Treetops Collective. She is also a certified interpreter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and takes care of herself because personal growth is very important to her.
