Meet Belkis
A passionate and resilient Venezuelan woman who genuinely cares, Belkis Lizarazo arrived in Michigan in 2017 and without any knowledge of this state or the language, she familiarized herself with the new incomers, immigrant, and refugee processes. Today she uses her passion and knowledge to assist fellow Venezuelan women immigrants and refugees, empowering them to thrive in their new homes. In addition to her strong activist spirit, Belkis is also a great cook and I hope you are lucky enough to taste her authentic Venezuelan food.
